Responsibilities For Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE)
- Build and optimize infrastructure and tools for the engineering team
- Maintain a global vision of how database systems integrate and interact
- Protect user experience by ensuring high levels of availability and performance of database systems
- Identify failures through detailed analysis and create continuous improvement cycles
- Adapt to a constantly evolving environment
Requirements For Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE)
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Postgres, demonstrating the ability to efficiently administer, optimize, and scale databases
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and a solid understanding of cloud architecture principles and associated services
- Experience with OpenSearch or ElasticSearch, configuration, optimization, and administration, as well as integration with Kibana for data visualization and analysis
- Experience in infrastructure automation with Terraform, including creating IaC pipelines and efficient environment management
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, proving ability to effectively orchestrate and manage containers
- Competence in observability practices, including but not limited to monitoring, tracing, and logging systems
- Autonomy and an analytical mindset, demonstrating the ability to make informed decisions and solve complex problems independently
