Description For Lead Support Engineer

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is seeking a Lead Support Engineer to join their Enterprise products team. This role combines technical expertise with support leadership, focusing on maintaining and troubleshooting critical financial market infrastructure systems. The position requires extensive experience in software systems, particularly in real-time and multi-threaded environments.

The role involves working with LSEG's Enterprise products, which integrate and distribute crucial market information including real-time and historical prices, news, and proprietary information. As a Lead Support Engineer, you'll be collaborating with a global team to investigate and resolve complex technical issues, working directly with development teams when needed.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of software industry experience, with strong capabilities in Linux/Windows environments, network programming, and system troubleshooting. Knowledge of C/C++ programming and database systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle) is highly valued, as is financial industry experience.

Responsibilities For Lead Support Engineer

  • Collaborate with global support colleagues to investigate Enterprise software component issues
  • Provide technical analysis and issue replications of complex issues
  • Work with development teams for issue resolution
  • Participate in Support case reviews
  • Contribute to product and internal documentation
  • Handle multiple complex issues in dynamic technical environment

Requirements For Lead Support Engineer

Linux
PostgreSQL
  • 5+ years of computer software industry experience in real-time, multi-threaded systems
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems including shell scripting
  • Experience in network programming (sockets, TCP/IP, UDP, multicast)
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of C/C++ programming (preferred)
  • Database experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle (preferred)
  • Financial industry experience (preferred)
