Description For Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their evolving Reliability Engineering team. This role goes beyond traditional support and operations, focusing on maintaining and improving critical shared services. As part of a diverse and inclusive organization, you'll have full ownership of system availability, performance, and scalability.

The position requires a strong background in cloud technologies, automation, and system reliability. You'll work with tools like Datadog and BigPanda for observability, Terraform for cloud infrastructure, and EntraID for IAM solutions. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic thinking about system architecture and reliability.

Key responsibilities include maintaining SLOs, writing automation for system scaling, partnering with development teams, and participating in on-call rotations. You'll be an advocate for strong engineering practices and play a crucial role in cloud migration initiatives.

Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud

  • Maintain Service Level Objectives for owned systems
  • Write automation to scale systems sustainably and prevent service issues
  • Partner with development teams to improve system reliability, observability, and release velocity
  • Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortems
  • Advocate for strong engineering practices
  • Enable Cloud migration and work with foundation teams
  • Configure Datadog dashboards and metrics
  • Perform architectural reviews and operational testing

Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field
  • Experience with Object Oriented programming languages (Java, C#, Python, or Go)
