Intern, IT Infrastructure Engineer, Summer 2025

Lucid Motors is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineering intern for Summer 2025. This role is perfect for a passionate student with a basic understanding of computer networks and a keen interest in electric vehicles. The ideal candidate should exhibit a can-do attitude, vigor, and determination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing automation scripts and tools for reliable, fault-tolerant systems, network, and cloud infrastructure.
• Help implement automation using Python, Terraform, cloud formation templates, and similar tools.
• Contribute to documenting IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Work autonomously, pragmatically, and in an organized manner.
• Show eagerness to learn and gain practical experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Apply strong problem-solving skills and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good understanding of computer networks, hardware, and software systems.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure Systems, Storage, Data Center Virtualization, and Cloud environments (e.g., VMware, Dell Isilon, Dell VxRail, AWS).
• Excellent understanding of wired and wireless computer networks, Microsoft Active Directory, AWS, and automation.
• Some hands-on experience in a professional IT environment.
• Understanding of mission-critical services and applications in an enterprise environment.
• Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Education:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Junior level or above for undergraduates.

Program Information:

• Duration: 12 weeks (May-August or June-September, depending on class schedules)
• Location: Newark, CA (fully in-person)
• Compensation: $40 to $58 per hour, based on location and current degree level
