Mantle Bank, an emerging crypto neobank in Asia, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their innovative team. This role sits at the intersection of traditional finance and blockchain technology, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of on-chain banking.
The position demands expertise in building high-performance, scalable systems that can handle million-level concurrent users. You'll be working with modern technologies including Go, Java, and Solidity, while architecting mission-critical payment and settlement systems. The role requires deep understanding of both traditional payment systems and blockchain infrastructure, particularly EVM-based systems.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing core banking systems, integrating blockchain functionality, and ensuring robust security measures. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where your decisions directly impact the platform's stability and security. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge Web3 technologies, including account abstraction and smart contract development.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of backend development experience, strong expertise in either Go or Java, and a proven track record of building high-availability systems. Knowledge of blockchain technology, particularly EVM and Solidity, is crucial. Experience with DevOps practices and tools like Kubernetes is highly valued.

Responsibilities For Senior Backend Engineer
- Design and develop core backend systems covering high-concurrency, high-availability architecture for million-level traffic
- Build microservice systems using Go or Java to support rapid business iteration and horizontal scaling
- Participate in payment system architecture design and integration, including payment processing, risk control, and settlement modules
- Interface with blockchain infrastructure, understand and implement integration with Solidity contracts
- Collaborate closely with product, frontend, blockchain and risk control teams to promote stable, secure, and high-performance system evolution
- Continuously optimize system architecture, performance and maintainability
Requirements For Senior Backend Engineer
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Proficient in Go or Java with good coding style and engineering practices
- Experience in designing and implementing million-level concurrent or high-availability architecture
- Familiar with payment system business processes and risk control models
- Understanding of blockchain principles, familiar with EVM architecture and Solidity contract interaction
- Good communication skills, team collaboration awareness and sense of responsibility
- Ability to independently handle complex system modules
