Description For Customer Solutions Engineer

They are seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer to join their specialist Design and Engineering Team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on providing engineering and design solutions in Pavement Engineering. The position offers a unique blend of technical design and relationship management, working with various stakeholders including landscape architects, consultant engineers, and local authorities. The role involves creating technical proposals, delivering CPD presentations, and supporting product innovation. Responsibilities For Customer Solutions Engineer

  • Providing engineering and design solutions within Pavement Engineering
  • Working with external sales teams as technical design advisor
  • Delivering technical information to customers and stakeholders
  • Creating technical proposals
  • Building and delivering engineering-focused CPD presentations
  • Supporting resolution of on-site issues
  • Supporting development of new products, systems and design methodology
  • Building network of contacts within engineering community

Requirements For Customer Solutions Engineer

  • Experience of working in a Technical Sales role, ideally in a similar industry
  • A proven interest in engineering and design with a natural curiosity
  • The ability to manage your own time and priorities efficiently and proactively
  • A Civil Engineering related degree or working towards a relevant professional qualification
  • Understanding of construction standards (DMRB, specification for highway works, BS 7533 Design Standards, SuDS design manuals)
  • A full driving license and ability to travel throughout the South of England
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
