Founding AI Engineer

Martin is building real-life JARVIS — a personal AI that can do everything a human assistant can, using natural language instructions. Launched 6 months ago, Martin's capabilities are already far beyond legacy assistants like Siri and Alexa, having executed hundreds of thousands of tasks for over 30,000 users from drafting emails to scheduling meetings and making phone calls.

The company is profitable and backed by top seed investors including Y-Combinator and Pioneer Fund, with notable angels like DoorDash's co-founder and Uber's former CPO. The user base is growing 10% weekly.

As a Founding AI Engineer, you'll join the founding team in San Francisco as one of the first hires. You'll have significant impact on the company and product direction, reflected in substantial equity compensation. You'll work in one of tech's fastest-moving sectors with endless opportunities for growth and learning.

The role focuses on improving Martin's AI orchestration layer - designing, implementing and testing agentic workflows for increasingly complex task execution. For example, orchestrating Martin to find and book dental appointments by researching dentists, making calls, reviewing options with users, and scheduling via email.

The ideal candidate is a relentless builder with production AI agent experience who embraces deep technical challenges. You'll design and enhance the AI orchestration layer, expand testing suites for evaluating tool use and accuracy, improve long-term memory architecture for instructions/preferences, and collaborate with product engineers on user experience.
