Sr. Data & Analytics Engineer

Hyperconnect's Platform Department is seeking a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to join their Data Product Dev Team. This role combines data engineering excellence with business impact, focusing on building sustainable data pipelines and models that deliver value. The position involves working with multi-product environments generating massive data volumes (10s of TB/day), using modern data stack technologies including EKS, BigQuery, Databricks, and Airflow.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, implementing Data Vault modeling, managing data quality, and developing end-to-end analytics architectures. You'll work on everything from data governance to BI implementation, helping to democratize data access across the organization.

As part of the Platform Department, you'll collaborate with various teams including Data Engineering, SRE/DevOps/MLOps, and IT to provide infrastructure and platform technology for services like Azar, Hakuna Live, and Hyperconnect Enterprise. The role offers opportunities to work with global-scale data, implement modern data stack paradigms, and contribute to building an efficient engineering culture.

The position requires strong technical skills in Python and SQL, experience with cloud platforms, and the ability to lead data modeling and pipeline operations. You'll be responsible for designing data architectures, implementing quality controls, and developing data applications that drive business value. The role combines technical expertise with business acumen, requiring someone who can translate complex data into actionable insights while maintaining high standards of data governance and quality.
