McKesson, a Fortune 10 company, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As an ML Engineer, you'll be part of a lean software team dedicated to productionizing machine learning applications and systems at scale. You'll work on detailed technical design, development, and implementation of ML applications using cutting-edge technology platforms.
The role involves collaborating with internal customers and infrastructure teams to build next-generation data science workbench and ML platform products. You'll be responsible for designing ML infrastructure, developing model and application code, and ensuring high availability and performance of ML applications. The position offers opportunities to work with modern ML frameworks and technologies while solving real-world business problems.
Key responsibilities include building and delivering ML models, informing infrastructure decisions, writing and testing application code, and maintaining models in production. You'll work in an Agile environment, collaborating with Product and Data Science teams to create state-of-the-art big data and ML applications.
The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of industry experience, strong programming skills in Python/C++/Scala/Golang, and extensive experience with ML frameworks and distributed computing. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and production ML deployment is highly valued.

Responsibilities For Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer
- Design, build, and deliver ML models and components that solve real-world business problems
- Inform ML infrastructure decisions using understanding of ML modeling techniques
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production
- Construct optimized data pipelines to feed ML models
- Ensure code is well-managed and follows best practices in Responsible and Explainable AI
Requirements For Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years industry experience
- At least 4 years of experience programming with Python, C++, Scala, or Golang
- At least 3 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions
- At least 2 years of experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, Kubeflow, or TensorFlow)
- At least 1 year of experience productionizing, monitoring, and maintaining models
