McKesson, a Fortune 10 healthcare company, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is part of a lean software team dedicated to productionizing machine learning applications and systems at scale. As an ML Operations Engineer, you'll be responsible for the technical design, development, and implementation of machine learning applications using both existing and emerging technology platforms. You'll focus on architectural design, code development and review, and ensuring high availability of ML applications. The role requires expertise in ML engineering activities including model deployment, infrastructure decisions, and data pipeline optimization.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of industry experience with strong programming skills in Python, C++, Scala, or Golang. You should have extensive experience with ML frameworks like scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow, and a proven track record of productionizing ML models. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.

Responsibilities For Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer
- Design, build, and deliver ML models and components that solve real-world business problems
- Inform ML infrastructure decisions using understanding of ML modeling techniques
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production
- Construct optimized data pipelines to feed ML models
- Ensure code is well-managed and follows best practices in Responsible and Explainable AI
Requirements For Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years industry experience
- At least 4 years of experience programming with Python, C++, Scala, or Golang
- At least 3 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions
- At least 2 years of experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, Kubeflow, or TensorFlow)
- At least 1 year of experience productionizing, monitoring, and maintaining models
