Backend engineer

MediSearch (YC S23) is pioneering the future of medical information access with their innovative search engine platform. As a backend engineer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping how people access and understand medical information.

The role offers a unique blend of technical challenges and meaningful impact. You'll be working on Python-based backend systems, implementing new features for the MediSearch API, managing deployments across various customer implementations, and continuously improving the core search algorithm that makes medical information more accessible and trustworthy.

The role requires Python proficiency and infrastructure knowledge (GCP, Kubernetes, OS fundamentals). Additional experience with compliance/security (HIPAA/GDPR, SOC 2), machine learning, or frontend development (TypeScript/React) is valued but not required.
