Founding engineer (full stack)

MediSearch (YC S23) is a search engine for medical information that provides direct answers to medical questions based on trustworthy sources using LLMs. As a Founding Developer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our product and technology.

The position is frontend-leaning but versatile, potentially including backend work. You'll be responsible for coding frontend features, creating designs, and collaborating with backend engineers to deliver features and optimize existing systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage startup using cutting-edge AI technology to make medical information more accessible.

We're looking for someone who can work at least 50% of their time in-person at our Bratislava, Slovakia office, with some flexibility for remote work. This hybrid arrangement allows for both collaborative in-person work and independent remote development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and Next.js
• Create and implement UI/UX designs
• Collaborate with backend team on feature development
• Optimize application performance and user experience
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions
• Work directly with founders to shape product direction
