Founding Developer Experience Engineer

Medplum is revolutionizing healthcare with their open source, API-first electronic health record (EHR) platform. As a Founding Developer Experience Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in establishing Medplum as the standard platform for healthcare development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing reference applications and integrations that showcase Medplum's capabilities and serve as gold standards for best practices
• Creating engaging documentation, guides, and tutorials to make healthcare tech more accessible
• Supporting and growing the open source community through technical support and thought leadership
• Producing compelling content including videos and blog posts to educate users and grow Medplum's presence
• Providing actionable feedback to shape the platform's developer experience

The ideal candidate:

• Has 3+ years of full stack TypeScript and React experience
• Excels at community engagement and building developer relationships
• Demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to break down complex topics
• Has 2+ years of experience in external communication roles
• Is passionate about problem-solving and technical best practices
• Is based in SF Bay Area for twice-weekly in-person collaboration

Bonus qualifications include media production experience, health tech background, or existing developer community presence.
