Description For Sr. R&D Engineer

Medtronic is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to join their Fleet Management team within the Robotics Center of Excellence in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is an integral part of the Product Development group, focusing on the oversight, maintenance, and support of the global R&D fleet of Hugo robotic assets.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare technology and robotics, contributing to innovative medical solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for software troubleshooting/deployments to robotic hardware, hardware repair, issue triaging, and associated documentation. This role requires collaboration with multiple R&D groups and demands on-site presence during typical first shift hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

As a Senior R&D Engineer, you'll be working in a team environment while maintaining significant autonomy in determining and developing solutions. The role involves coaching junior team members and potentially managing projects/processes. Your impact will extend across entire projects within your job area, requiring relationship building and consensus-reaching skills.
