Meta is seeking exceptional AI Research Scientists to join their AI organization. The ideal candidate will be a recognized expert in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational statistics, and applied mathematics, with a focus on computer vision and technical leadership.
Responsibilities include:
- Advancing the science and technology of intelligent machines
- Contributing to research on learning the semantics of data (images, video, text, audio, and other modalities)
- Working on projects of moderate to high complexity and scope
- Designing policies, processes, and end-to-end systems
- Leading projects independently and collaborating cross-functionally
- Influencing research communities through publications
- Developing data-driven models of human behavior
- Advancing state-of-the-art in machine perception, mapping, reconstruction, and localization
- Collaborating on AR/VR systems research
- Designing and running experiments related to large-scale sensing and machine reasoning
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Vision, Robotics, State Estimation, 3D Reconstruction, Object Tracking, Physics-based models, or a related field
- Experience applying research to production problems
- Leadership experience in solving AI/ML modeling problems
- Strong communication skills for research audiences
- Proven publications in relevant technical fields
- Hands-on experience with 3D computer vision algorithms, sensor fusion, and image processing
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
Preferred qualifications include experience in academia or industry research, first-author publications at top AI conferences, expertise in real-time computer graphics or GPU programming, and experience with inertial/optical/wireless sensing devices.
