Description For Camera and Depth Electrical Engineer

The Camera and Depth HW team within TED develops high-performance Camera and Depth solutions for Reality Lab's AR/VR products. This multidisciplinary group brings research to life by realizing state-of-the-art custom modules including mixed-signal ASICs, image sensors, lasers, optics, and firmware. The Camera and Depth HW team is seeking a Camera & Depth Electrical Engineer for end-to-end ownership of development and productization electrical engineering from early concepts to release to mass production. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who has a passion for working across disciplines to transform research technologies into physical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and debugging of mixed-signal ASICs, board-level circuitry, high-speed RF signal integrity and systems used in our solutions.
  • Develop novel solutions to complex electronics problems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners combining electronics, image sensors, optics, mechanicals, and firmware.
  • Collaborate with the System electrical engineering teams on seamless integration of camera and depth modules into Reality Labs' devices.
  • Develop design methodologies and Best Practices for the Camera & Depth EE team.
  • Implement our PDP methodology in all designs, and present your work in design reviews.
  • Assess vendors and manage outsourced development of PCBs.
  • Lead debugging and failure analysis activities.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AR/VR technology and contribute to the development of next-generation products at Meta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, experience with consumer product development, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
