Description For Computer Vision Engineer (Leadership) - Reality Labs

The Reality Labs team at Meta is seeking Senior/Lead Computer Vision Engineers to support their engineering teams in building world-class Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality hardware and software. The role involves leading the design and development of novel computer vision and machine learning algorithms for real-time scene and object tracking, reconstruction, and understanding. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop prototypes for future VR/AR/MR experiences, and participate in cutting-edge research. The position requires expertise in areas such as SLAM, 3D reconstruction, sensor fusion, and various tracking technologies. You'll play a critical role in defining long-term roadmaps and be a go-to person for complex performance issues. This is an opportunity to shape the future of AR and VR technology at Meta, contributing to the development of the Metaverse and other Reality Labs products.

Responsibilities For Computer Vision Engineer (Leadership) - Reality Labs

  • Lead the design and development of novel computer vision and machine learning algorithms
  • Play a critical role in the definition and execution of long-term roadmaps
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and research teams
  • Be a go-to person to escalate complex online / production performance and evaluation issues
  • Develop prototypes for future VR/AR/MR experiences
  • Participate in cutting edge research in computer vision
  • Define projects for other engineers to solve and achieve impact

Requirements For Computer Vision Engineer (Leadership) - Reality Labs

Python
  • BSc degree in Computer Graphics, Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related technical field
  • Experience in driving large cross-functional company-wide or industry-wide engineering efforts
  • Experience in mentoring and influencing senior engineers across organizations
  • Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions
  • Prototyping and engineering experience in at least one relevant specialization area in either Computer Graphics, Computer Vision or Machine Learning
