Design Engineers at Meta play a crucial role in product development, ensuring our products and features are valuable, user-friendly, and of the highest quality. We focus on people-centric solutions and tackle some of the world's biggest, most challenging problems.

As a Design Engineer in GenAI, you'll help solve complex, real-world problems using a full range of design and prototyping skills. You'll contribute to high-level strategic decisions alongside product, design, and executive teams. Join our diverse group of thinkers and do some of the most meaningful work of your career.

Key responsibilities include: • Defining and synthesizing user requirements • Establishing design processes for cross-functional team alignment • Creating user experience prototypes and contributing to feature sets • Collaborating with user research teams for testing and iteration • Partnering with various teams to oversee user experience implementation • Solving issues with cross-functional leads • Articulating design decisions to internal stakeholders • Contributing to product strategy and advocating for product design

We're looking for candidates with: • 6+ years of experience shipping complex software products • Strong design skills and leadership experience in cross-functional environments • Knowledge of user research methods • High-level thinking about product strategy and vision • A portfolio showcasing interaction and visual work • Experience building prototypes quickly

Preferred qualifications include programming experience in Swift, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages, and experience working with researchers.
