We are seeking a Sensor Test Engineer to contribute to Meta's sensor technology innovation and AR/MR, and other wearable device development. This role involves building and upgrading optical test stations/systems for imaging sensors, developing new optical test methodologies, test automation, data analysis, and conducting imaging sensor characterization and validation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting imaging sensor characterization/validation engineers
- Developing new imaging sensor test methodologies for MR/AR/SG applications
- Generating intellectual property in novel optical instrumentation
- Developing standard operating procedures and training engineers
- Developing automation test scripts using Python, MATLAB, or C/C++
- Performing characterization tests for image sensors and ALS sensors
- Conducting statistical analysis on test data
- Exploring novel optical metrology technologies
- Simulating and measuring image sensor performance for MR/AR applications
- Debugging, root cause analysis, and problem-solving
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Optics, Physics, or related field (Master's/PhD preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in developing optical bench-top test stations
- Knowledge of imaging optics, optical metrology, and characterization
- Experience in optical instrumentation and measurement techniques
- Programming skills in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB
- Experience with imaging sensor characterization hardware and software
