Software Engineer - Browser

Meta is seeking a Software Engineer to join their In App Browser team, which builds some of the most popular Web browsers integrated within Meta's mobile applications. This role focuses on developing and improving the Chromium-based browser engine that powers Meta's in-app browsing experience.

The position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the Web ecosystem and browser technology. As a Browser Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing web standard APIs, driving architectural improvements, and enhancing the stability and performance of Meta's mobile browsers. You'll work with cutting-edge browser technology and have the chance to collaborate with other browser vendors and standards bodies to advance the state of the Web.

Key responsibilities include integrating Chromium into Meta's native mobile applications, working on performance optimizations, implementing new features and APIs, and ensuring the long-term stability and security of the browser platform. You'll be working closely with product and design teams to create innovative browsing experiences while maintaining high standards of performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in browser development, particularly with Chromium-based browsers, and expertise in C++ programming. Additional experience with Rust, mobile platform development (Android/iOS), and web standards would be valuable assets.

This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $70,670 to $208,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
