This role focuses on improving shared technologies and empowering First Party Oculus Studios including Armature Studios, Beat Games, BigBox VR, and others in creating compelling VR content.
The position requires an experienced engineer who can collaborate directly with Oculus Studios Technical Director to establish technology goals and priorities across multi-year efforts. You'll be working in a dynamic development environment, implementing consistent and accountable systems that first-party developers rely on.
Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining relationships with Oculus partners, acting as a technical representative, and working across multiple development environments including C++, C#, Python, Unity, and Unreal. You'll also facilitate technical learning between Oculus Studios through documentation, demo materials, and code examples.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience in learning new approaches and coding languages, with at least 5 years of experience in immersive media or game development. Expert knowledge of C/C++/C# coding in 3D entertainment or games is essential, along with broad knowledge of game development and enterprise-scale infrastructure.
