Software Engineer - Product (Technical Leadership)

Meta is seeking experienced full-stack software engineers to join our product teams. As a Software Engineer - Product (Technical Leadership), you will drive the team's goals and technical direction, effectively communicate complex features and systems, understand industry & company-wide trends, partner with organization leaders, identify new opportunities, create consumer products and features on a large scale, lead long term technical vision and roadmap for large cross-company efforts, and partner closely with infrastructure and operations teams to build and scale back-end services.

You will be working on products used by more than 1.5 billion people around the world, solving unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems. You'll have the opportunity to build new features and improve existing products like Commerce, Ads, Video, Groups, News Feed, Search, and more.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving the team's goals and technical direction
• Effectively communicating complex features and systems
• Understanding industry & company-wide trends
• Partnering with organization leaders
• Identifying new opportunities for the larger organization
• Creating consumer products and features on a large scale
• Leading long term technical vision and roadmap
• Partnering with infrastructure and operations teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 12+ years of programming experience
• 12+ years of experience with building large-scale applications
• 8+ years of experience with web or mobile technologies
• Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact
• Experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers
• Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience shipping products to millions of customers
• Experience building and scaling large products or systems
