Submarine Cable Systems Engineer

Meta is seeking a Submarine Cable Systems Engineer to join their backbone Optical Network Engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and operating the world's largest Optical network. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of global subsea network design at scale, leading technical aspects of subsea cable build programs from project definition through manufacturing, system lay, acceptance, and operations.

The position requires deep technical expertise in submarine system design, including electrical, optical, and mechanical aspects of wet plant, PFE, and OCI design. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in submarine cable construction and working with turnkey system vendors. They will lead system engineering for new and ongoing submarine cable projects, conduct technical reviews, and ensure high-quality system delivery.
