Developer Relations Engineer

Metronome, a leading usage-based billing platform, is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to spearhead their documentation strategy and developer experience initiatives. The position combines technical writing expertise with hands-on engineering, requiring someone who can create comprehensive documentation while contributing to the broader developer experience. You'll be responsible for owning the documentation strategy, creating clear API and SDK documentation, developing tutorials and sample applications, and building tools to improve documentation workflows.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of technical experience with at least 3 years focused on documentation. You should have strong software development skills, excellent technical writing abilities, and experience with API documentation. The role requires proficiency in multiple programming languages and familiarity with documentation tools and Git workflows.
