Description For Android Engineer

Michelin is seeking an Android Engineer to join their mobile team, a focused group of iOS and Android engineers responsible for native mobile apps used by thousands of global travel and gastronomy enthusiasts. The role involves working on the Tablet Hotels and MICHELIN Guide mobile apps.

The position offers an opportunity to work alongside the Lead Android Engineer in a team of two, taking ownership of the Android platform. You'll be involved in full-cycle software development, from requirements analysis to release, working on high-impact, early-stage projects and features.

As an Android Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in translating the global mobile app strategy and UI/UX designs into polished native Android experiences. This involves close collaboration with product teams, including the CPO and cofounder, design teams, and engineers working on APIs for hotel and restaurant search, booking systems, and account management.

Kotlin
  • 3+ years native Android development experience with advanced Kotlin programming
  • Hands on experience with Android Jetpack Components, Dependency Injection
  • Understanding of SOLID principles, Clean Architecture
  • Understanding of common architectural patterns (MVI, MVP, MVVM) and Android architecture components
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles
  • Experience with Android testing frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with version control, branching and gitflow
  • Basic computer science knowledge in algorithms and data structures
