Micron Technology, a global leader in memory and storage solutions, is seeking an Engineer-Part Operations to join their team in Boise, Idaho. This role combines industrial engineering expertise with data analysis and manufacturing optimization, making it an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about improving production processes through technology.

The position requires a unique blend of technical skills including Python, SQL, and statistical analysis, along with manufacturing domain knowledge. Responsibilities For Engineer-Part Operations

  • Apply industrial engineering concepts to line management, capacity analysis, scheduling and production planning
  • Use statistical analysis to evaluate manufacturing line performance
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing processes
  • Develop applications to improve production metrics
  • Interface with TD and process engineering for future product introduction
  • Drive data collection and refinement of existing data sources
  • Support inventory control and cycletime improvement processes
  • Lead New Part Startup and Technode Planning Milestones
  • Establish operational business processes and procedures
  • Develop best practices, reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
  • Forecast and set cycle time targets, WIP Limits, and wafer delivery plans

Requirements For Engineer-Part Operations

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM) or related field
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, R, Python
  • Experience in production line management and optimizing bottlenecks
  • Knowledge of statistics and advanced data analysis
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning)
  • Experience in optimizing capacity and cycle time
  • Process auditing experience
