Apps Solution Engineer

Microsoft is seeking an Apps Solution Engineer to join their AI Applications team focusing on commercial customers. This role combines deep technical expertise in AI and application development with customer-facing responsibilities. The position involves working with cutting-edge AI technologies including AI Foundry, Azure AI, and Responsible AI, helping enterprise customers unlock the full potential of Microsoft's AI-powered stack.

The role requires expertise in full stack application architecture, cloud native development, and AI/ML models. You'll be responsible for leading technical engagements through hackathons, proof of concepts, and architecture workshops to accelerate adoption of Microsoft's developer tools and cloud platforms. The position involves 25-50% travel and offers a hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% work from home flexibility.

As a trusted technical advisor, you'll guide customers through secure, scalable solution design, influence technical decisions, and accelerate AI applications and agents into their development workflows. You'll work closely with engineering leaders and platform teams to drive innovation and help customers modernize their applications leveraging AI.

The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience), with deep expertise in both application architecture and AI/ML technologies. You'll need to demonstrate strong technical leadership, communication skills, and the ability to drive production-scale outcomes through technical engagements.
