Description For Data Center Program Manager, IT/Network

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) division is seeking a Data Center Program Manager to join their team in Phoenix. This role is crucial in maintaining and optimizing Microsoft's vast global infrastructure of over 100 datacenters and 1 million servers that power services like Azure, Office 365, Xbox, and Bing.

The position involves managing critical environment operations in Microsoft's datacenters, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of mechanical and electrical systems. You'll be responsible for overseeing compliance, conducting audits, and implementing best practices across the facility. The role requires strong technical knowledge in datacenter operations and the ability to coordinate with various engineering teams and partners.

Responsibilities For Data Center Program Manager, IT/Network

  • Ensure compliance with data center business units and service-level policies
  • Manage programs associated with area of responsibility
  • Maximize Critical Environment (CE) availability in leased Datacenters
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Coordinate and supervise CE audits and compliance verification
  • Establish working relationships with Engineering Groups and Landlord partners
  • Support delivery of Datacenter's Emergency Preparedness and Response plans
  • Ensure routine reporting for Power/Temperature/Relative Humidity and SLA monitoring

Requirements For Data Center Program Manager, IT/Network

Linux
  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 3+ years experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Must pass Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) screening
  • Valid passport and citizenship verification required
  • Ability to travel 0-25%
