Developer AI Software Engineer

Microsoft CoreAI's mission is to empower every developer to shape the future with Artificial Intelligence (AI). CoreAI is developing a new AI-first app stack, aligning infrastructure, platforms, and tools to support this mission. By providing developers with the right tools and resources, we aim to enable both Microsoft and our customers to unlock the full potential of AI in their applications and business processes.

Within the Developer Division at Microsoft, the Developer Artificial Intelligence team is working on incubating, building and delivering the next generation of AI-enabled developer tooling experiences, across Visual Studio Code, GitHub Copilot extensions, Visual Studio, Azure developer services and more.

The role involves:

• Building end-to-end products and features working across different codebases and front-ends
• Applying frontier AI/LLM technologies to invent and deliver features that delight developers
• Delivering and iterating quickly on new product opportunities
• Operating as part of a fast-paced team on ambitious new projects
• Designing, implementing, debugging, and delivering experiences in TypeScript, Python, Go, .NET and others

The position offers competitive compensation with base pay ranging from $117,200 - $229,200 per year (higher in SF Bay Area and NYC).
