The position involves exploring cutting-edge areas like generative animations, automated testing using reinforcement learning agents, and multi-modal language models.

The team is tackling critical challenges in modern game development, including engine innovation, technical showcase technologies, and delivering world-class workflows that benefit the wider Xbox Game Studios organization. The role requires expertise in multiple technology stacks, including Python, C#, C++, and Rust.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll work directly with game designers, animators, and engineers to improve developer efficiency through ML applications. Requirements For Machine Learning Engineer – Xbox Games Technology Group – The Coalition

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience in Python AND at least one statically typed language like Java/C#/C++/Rust
  • 1+ years' experience as a Machine Learning Engineer OR equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with modern deep learning models, techniques and frameworks
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team
  • A growth mindset and highly capable problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communicator; ability to work closely with other high-caliber engineers and artists
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion
