Senior Data Engineer

Microsoft's M365 Copilot Hub and OneNote teams are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to drive the transformation of Copilot Pages and Notebooks through AI integration. This role is crucial in the Office Product Group, focusing on managing product telemetry for Data Scientists across multiple endpoints of Copilot Pages and Notebooks at a global scale.

The position offers an opportunity to work directly with Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers in building innovative products that enhance user experience. You'll be handling complex, planet-scale data pipelines while directly contributing to product vision and customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that production telemetry contains vital information for generating insights about customer product usage. Your work will involve building and validating data extraction code, implementing performance monitoring protocols, and ensuring compliance with data governance requirements.

The role requires expertise in data pipeline design, strong programming skills in languages like Python and SQL, and experience with large-scale data sets. You'll work in a hybrid environment (up to 50% work from home) with some travel (0-25%).
