Description For Senior Silicon Engineer

Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is seeking a Senior Silicon Engineer to join their Data Processing Unit (DPU) team within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure. This role offers an opportunity to work on delivering silicon solutions with planet-scale impact.

As a Senior Silicon Engineer, you'll be responsible for validating silicon and developing programmable silicon implementations for datacenter solutions. You'll work closely with the architecture team on complex engineering problems related to DPU silicon development. The position involves working with cutting-edge, high performance, low power, scalable and programmable DPU silicon technologies.

The role is part of SCHIE, which powers Microsoft's "Intelligent Cloud" mission and delivers core infrastructure for over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure platform globally. You'll be working on server and data center infrastructure, focusing on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering trusted experiences to customers worldwide.

Responsibilities For Senior Silicon Engineer

  • Own the micro-architecture specification and RTL development of design modules for ASIC memory subsystem
  • Review and provide feedback on verification plans and methodology
  • Collaborate with Physical design teams to ensure design meets timing and area requirements
  • Work on post-silicon verification and debug

Requirements For Senior Silicon Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience with RTL design and/or architecture experience
  • 5+ years of experience of DDR4~5 or LPDDR5 Protocols, Cache design or Inter-Cluster Cache Coherency
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
