Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Teams

Microsoft Teams SRE team is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build and maintain their collaboration platform. This role combines traditional operations with software engineering to improve service availability, latency, performance, and security.

As an SRE for Teams, you'll lead infrastructure design, implementation, and security initiatives. You'll work closely with engineering teams to ensure high stability and performance of services. The role offers opportunities to learn about enterprise-grade cloud service deployment and webservices optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing software solutions for service availability and scalability
• Defining and implementing next-generation Teams services infrastructure
• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and network issues
• Developing automation for operations processes
• Mentoring junior engineers
• Participating in on-call rotations

Required qualifications include 6+ years of technical experience or relevant degree combinations, with strong expertise in TCP/IP, load balancing, CDN, ACL, routing, and TLS. Experience with scripting languages, Linux systems, and cloud platforms is highly valued.
