Senior Software Engineer

Microsoft's Finance Data and Experiences organization (FD&E) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help revolutionize how Microsoft measures, monitors, and manages its business portfolio. This role involves designing and building the next generation of user experiences and analytics platforms using cutting-edge technology.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with the latest cloud technologies, including Azure, Synapse, and other cloud-native platforms, to architect and develop a suite of future-state analytics capabilities. They will influence product engineering teams to shape the next generation of data and analytics capabilities available to millions of Microsoft customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing, recommending, and adopting relevant new technologies, tools, and processes
• Supporting and influencing team culture of customer-centricity and continuous improvement
• Implementing practices for accurate, safe, and efficient service releases
• Collaborating to solve complex problems in a global business environment
• Leveraging sound engineering practices and principles
• Using telemetry and analytics to understand customer impact
• Providing technical feedback to product engineering partners
• Working with multiple client partner teams to implement cohesive end-to-end experiences

The role requires a strong background in software development, particularly with big data processing systems and online services. Experience with cloud services on Azure is highly desirable, and familiarity with Finance data and business rhythms is a plus.
