Software Engineer I

Microsoft Dataverse is seeking a Software Engineer I to join their team. Dataverse is a low-code no-code hyperscale software as a service (SaaS) data and AI platform, which is the foundation of Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Dynamics 365. The role involves building large scale, complex, and resilient infrastructures that power thousands of connectors for various backend APIs.

Key aspects of the role:

• Working with microservices, containers, and cloud technologies
• Solving challenging technical problems
• Communicating effectively with diverse audiences
• Developing large scale online services with robust performance, resiliency, and telemetry
• Driving complex server & client architecture across large product teams
• Collaborating in a dynamic/agile environment
• Improving engineering practices and producing high-quality software

The ideal candidate should have:

• 2+ years of software development experience
• Experience with C#, REST, SQL, Azure, HTML5, or JavaScript/jQuery
• Strong collaboration skills
• Passion for improving engineering practices
• Self-motivation and customer focus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Responsibilities include:

• End-to-end ownership of features with a quality-first mindset
• Monitoring and support of modern services based on the Azure platform
• Collaborating across diverse teams to solve challenging problems
• Debugging and handling complex customer-reported issues
