Description For Software Engineer II

Microsoft's Azure Edge & Platform organization is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their team working on cutting-edge Azure solutions. The role focuses on developing Azure Local and Azure Stack Edge products that bring Azure's compute power, storage, and intelligence directly to customers' locations. You'll be working on hyperconverged infrastructure solutions and edge computing technologies that address scalability, security, and privacy concerns. The position offers hands-on experience with cloud-based solutions and the opportunity to solve real-world computing problems for large-scale businesses. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities For Software Engineer II

  • Collaborate with cross team stakeholders to capture user requirements
  • Contribute architectural discussions and independently develop proposals
  • Deliver high quality system design that meets service reliability, performance, scalability requirements
  • Lead by example within the team by producing extensible and maintainable code
  • Use debugging tools and methodologies proactively and reactively
  • Maintain operational integrity of live services on a rotational, on-call basis
  • Develop internal tools to streamline product creation

Requirements For Software Engineer II

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's/master's degree or equivalent in Computer science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, deploying, maintaining cloud-based solutions
  • Great design, problem-solving and architecture skills
  • Deep understanding of scalability, reliability, performance, customer-focus and security
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience with Azure services, Functions, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Storage, and Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts, IaC, DevOps practices, and container technologies
