Description For Software Engineer II

Microsoft's Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their team developing supply chain platform solutions that power Cloud and Devices supply chains. This role is part of Microsoft's explosive growth in their Cloud business, where CSCP is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth.

The position involves working with SAP products and innovating in areas of customer experience, sustainability, integrative Artificial Intelligence (AI), and automation of processes and systems. You'll be developing robust business applications by engineering SAP transactional backbone systems to meet specific partner requirements in an evolving business environment.

As a Software Engineer II, you'll be working on systems design, configuration, and testing for integrated business planning processes, specifically focusing on SAP IBP S&OP, IBP Demand Planning, IBP Inventory, and IBP Response and Supply. The role requires strong technical expertise in SAP supply chain planning solutions and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $98,300 to $193,200 per year (higher in SF Bay Area and NYC), along with comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, savings and investments, parental leave, and more. The work environment is hybrid, allowing up to 50% work from home, with 0-25% travel requirements.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer II

  • Effective systems design, configuration, and testing for integrated business planning processes
  • Effective systems design, configuration, and testing for SAP ERP processes
  • Evaluate existing transactions related to inbound and outbound processes & systems
  • Execute work plans to land high-value systems improvements
  • Build and operate services in a SAP DevOps Environment
  • Partner with value stream, Engineering and Architecture colleagues to identify emerging industry trends

Requirements For Software Engineer II

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, ABAP, or Python
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in configuring/developing end to end SAP supply chain planning solutions (SAP IBP/APO)
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check
