Microsoft is seeking a Support Engineer for their Developer Azure Services (DAS) team in Japan. The role involves providing technical support for various Azure services and developer tools. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support via phone (20%) and email/web (80%)
- Collaborating with global support engineers, managers, and development teams
- Using debugging skills, source code analysis, and troubleshooting tools to solve complex problems
- Creating sample code and providing optimal solutions for high-impact customer issues
- Providing feedback to product development teams for quality improvement
- Contributing to case deflection efforts and creating self-help resources
- Developing and delivering training to other engineers
- Participating in technical collaborations with other departments
- Building and participating in global communities based on workload and specialization
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3+ years of experience in technical support, consulting, or IT (or a bachelor's degree in a related field with 1+ year of experience)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, .NET, Java, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, networking, Active Directory, and OS architecture
- Fluency in both Japanese and English (business level)
