Description For Technical Support Engineer - Azure Identity

Microsoft is seeking a Technical Support Engineer for the Azure Identity team in Japan. This role involves supporting Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and related authentication systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Microsoft technologies and customer service, with strong communication skills and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to Enterprise customers and partners via phone and web
  • Investigating and resolving complex technical issues
  • Collaborating with global teams and escalating issues when necessary
  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction and meeting Service Level Agreements
  • Documenting technical work and research comprehensively
  • Maintaining a proactive approach to customer happiness

Required skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of IT experience
  • Strong customer service skills in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Deep technical expertise in at least one specialty
  • Logical and critical thinking skills

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers and Client Operating Systems
  • Understanding of Microsoft Cloud (Azure/Office 365) and Windows Server products
  • Familiarity with OAuth, OpenID Connect, WS-Federation, and SAML
  • Troubleshooting skills in network, DNS, AD FS, and Microsoft Synchronization Engines

Language requirements:

  • Fluent Business Level Japanese for customer communication and documentation
  • Business Level English for global collaboration and technical documentation
