UX Engineer – Microsoft Discovery

In the Strategic Missions and Technology (SMT) team at Microsoft, we focus on developing new growth opportunities by combining Microsoft's best technology and AI to revolutionize scientific discovery. As a UX Engineer in the Microsoft Discovery team, you'll play a crucial role in defining and executing a new vision for AI-driven science platform development.

You'll help shape experiences that break new ground in how we interact with agentic AI, representing the best of what a "10x Designer" can be. This role offers accelerated career growth, deep domain understanding, and startup-paced delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop front-end designs, specs, and user interface systems
• Partner with engineers to build fully functioning features
• Generate ideation solutions and identify user needs
• Develop prototypes for specific needs and user feedback
• Work with designers to iterate designs during implementation
• Oversee versioning of tools and drive accessibility
• Liaison between Design and Engineering teams
• Ensure consistency with existing codebases and design systems

The position offers competitive compensation ($119,800 - $234,700 base pay range, higher for SF and NYC areas) and comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, savings and investments, parental leave, and generous time off.
