Millennium, a premier global hedge fund, is seeking a Quantitative Developer specializing in volatility to join their systematic investment team. The ideal candidate will work directly with the Senior Portfolio Manager to build and maintain critical trading systems and infrastructure. They will be responsible for coding and improving various pipelines related to data processing, alpha generation, portfolio construction, execution, and risk management. The role requires expertise in Python programming and familiarity with financial markets, particularly in equity derivatives.

The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $100,000 to $200,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities For Quantitative Developer, Volatility

  • Code and improve data, alpha, portfolio construction, execution and risk pipelines
  • Provide infrastructure for coding trading ideas, monetization, and evaluation of live trading strategies
  • Productionalize and maintain live systems
  • Conduct testing and debugging of all systems owned by the team
  • Partner with other teams to implement methodologies for trading, data analysis, research, and risk management

Requirements For Quantitative Developer, Volatility

  • Expert in Python programming skills (SQL and KDB/Q are a plus)
  • Proficient in linux, data science stack (sklearn), optimization (mosek), parallelization (Slurm), and version control (git)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field from top ranked University
  • 3+ years of experience as a quantitative developer
  • Strong experience in building platforms, including statistical methods leveraging machine learning techniques
  • Some knowledge of equity derivatives
  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross functional teams
  • Strong intuition navigating technological aspects of trading
  • Ability to adapt to complex corporate technology stack
