Lead Software Engineer - Reconciliation

Modern Treasury is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their Reconciliation Platform team, offering a competitive salary range of $190K – $280K plus equity. This role can be based in San Francisco, New York, or work remotely from select states.

The position focuses on their critical Reconciliation Platform, which ensures the accuracy of funds in accounts versus payment activity. This is a core component of Modern Treasury's value proposition, providing customers with confidence in their payment transactions through automated reconciliation processes.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be working with cutting-edge technologies including Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL. The role requires 12+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a tech lead position. Deep knowledge of payment systems (ACH, Wire, or FX) and experience with automatic cash reconciliation are highly valued.

The ideal candidate will contribute to improving the industry-leading automatic reconciliation rate, architect scalable solutions for a growing customer base, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps.
