MongoDB, a leading developer data platform company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Frontend Platform team within Atlas. The position focuses on transforming the Atlas UI stack into a modern, efficient platform. You'll be responsible for both customer-facing features like global navigation and dark mode, as well as core infrastructure including testing frameworks and build tooling. As a Senior Engineer, you'll lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to the architecture of frontend systems. Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer, Frontend Platform
- Design, architect, build and deliver globally facing customer features of the Atlas UI
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks for the frontend
- Own and optimize our pipeline for bundling up all assets for the browser
- Improve and maintain high code quality through static analysis, linting, typechecking, and other best practices
- Mentor and support other engineers within UI/UX development both on our team and others
- Lead and contribute to complex projects and initiatives
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer, Frontend Platform
- 5+ years of development experience, primarily focused on UI/UX development
- Fluent with JavaScript and/or TypeScript along with modern frontend technologies (React, Redux, etc.)
- Proficient in a modern compiled programming language (Java, Go, C#, C++, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desire to collaborate with fellow teams and mentor engineers
- Is curious, collaborative, empathetic, and intellectually honest
- Has a passion for problem solving and learning new things
- Experience maintaining frontend build tooling (Webpack, Eslint, TypeScript)
- Experience maintaining frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library)
