Description For Engineer, Electronic Design

Moog is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join their team in Carrigaline, Ireland. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated motor controller products in an EN9100 environment. The position involves designing and developing hardware solutions for Moog's servo-drive products, ensuring they meet rigorous performance specifications and regulatory standards. You'll work within multi-site development teams, participating in design reviews and contributing to project milestones. Responsibilities For Engineer, Electronic Design

  • Design & development of hardware (analog, digital and power electronics) for servo-drive products
  • Ensure products meet performance specifications, cost & reliability targets
  • Ensure compliance with required regulatory standards
  • Participate in all aspects of hardware lifecycle including requirements definition, architectural design, implementation, integration and testing
  • Participate in design reviews and business reviews
  • Work towards achieving defined project goals/milestones within tight project schedules
  • Provide on-site customer support when required

Requirements For Engineer, Electronic Design

  • Minimum 2nd Class (Hons) degree in electronics/electrical engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Problem identification, analysis and problem solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with senior customers, management and team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of power conversion principles and technologies (advantageous)
  • Experience with VHDL language (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of electronic devices and FPGA communication (advantageous)
