Moog is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join their team in Carrigaline, Ireland. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge motor controller products in an EN9100 environment. The position involves designing and developing hardware solutions, including analog, digital, and power electronics for servo-drive products.
The ideal candidate will be part of a multi-site development team, working on all aspects of the hardware lifecycle from requirements definition to implementation and testing. You'll be responsible for ensuring products meet performance specifications, cost targets, and regulatory standards while maintaining design for manufacturability and testability.
This role combines technical expertise with project management skills, requiring someone who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You'll participate in design reviews, business reviews, and occasionally provide on-site customer support. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge technology in power conversion, motor control, and embedded systems.

Responsibilities For Engineer, Electronic Design
- Design & development of hardware (analog, digital and power electronics) for servo-drive products
- Ensure products meet performance specifications, cost & reliability targets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in all aspects of hardware lifecycle including requirements definition, architectural design, implementation, integration and testing
- Participate in design reviews and business reviews
- Work towards achieving project goals/milestones within tight schedules
- Provide on-site customer support when needed
Requirements For Engineer, Electronic Design
- Minimum 2nd Class (Hons) degree in electronics/electrical engineering
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Problem identification, analysis and problem solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers, management and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of power conversion principles and technologies (preferred)
- Experience with VHDL language (preferred)
- Knowledge of electronic devices and FPGA communication (preferred)
- Experience in hard real-time embedded system developments (preferred)
