Founding Engineer / Tech Lead / CTO

Movley is building modern quality control for retail and e-commerce brands. Most retail products undergo testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) regularly to ensure they meet specifications and comply with regulations. The TIC industry for consumer goods is a $30+ billion market that's outdated but growing rapidly at 5-6% annually.

As a Founding Engineer / Tech Lead / CTO at Movley, you'll lead engineering efforts, working one-on-one with the CEO and founding team. You'll ship product features, speak with users, brainstorm product direction, lead the technical team, and shape early company culture.

We're looking for a self-starter, natural builder, resourceful engineer, product-minded individual who's intense and fun. You should have 3+ years of software experience, excellence in NodeJS, Python, React, Typescript, NextJS, and experience with LLMs-based applications.

Our tech stack includes NextJS, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, and Heroku. We plan to expand into LLM-based applications, mobile development, and deeper data science.

Movley has worked with over 800 brands and is backed by Y Combinator and other top investors. We're modernizing the industry to give retail brands the experience they've always wanted, contributing to better quality products, less waste, and a more sustainable planet.
