Description For Analytics Engineer (L5) - Member Data Products

Netflix is seeking an Analytics Engineer (L5) for the Member Data Products team. As part of the Data Science & Analytics team, you'll be at the forefront of using analytics and data engineering skills on big data while working with product, technology, and business teams. Your role involves developing and maintaining data pipelines, tooling, and visualizations to make member insights widely available across the company. You'll partner with data engineers, product managers, and engineering teams to design and implement data architecture, conduct investigations, and explore trends in member engagement. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL and Python skills, experience in data pipeline engineering, and excellent communication abilities. This role offers the opportunity to drive higher-quality viewing and discovery experiences for Netflix's global members across streaming and new business domains like gaming and live content.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines and visualizations
  • Identifying and validating appropriate data sources and metrics
  • Partnering with data engineers on data architecture
  • Conducting forensic investigations into logging
  • Proactively exploring trends in member engagement
  • Cultivating strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Coaching partners on self-serve tools and evangelizing scaled approaches

Requirements:

The role offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $720,000, with the option to choose between salary and stock options.
