Description For Security Software Engineer (L6), DDoS

Netflix is seeking a Security Software Engineer (L6) specializing in DDoS protection for their Trust Services and Enforcement team within the Trust & Safety organization. This role involves owning, building, and advancing anti-Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection services at Netflix. The successful candidate will design and develop new features to enhance DDoS posture, improve infrastructure resiliency, and ensure protection against large-scale attacks. They will work cross-functionally to integrate DDoS protections across the infrastructure, reducing impact on the company and customers. The role requires collaboration with other engineers to identify and drive improvements in anti-DDoS effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing new features for DDoS protection services
  • Improving infrastructure resiliency against large-scale attacks
  • Cross-functional collaboration for integrating DDoS protections
