Netflix, the global entertainment leader serving 283 million subscribers worldwide, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Partner Engineering team in Hsinchu. This unique role bridges Netflix's technology with TV and operator partners across the APAC region, requiring a full-stack understanding of Netflix's ecosystem from device architecture to B2B subscription APIs.
The position demands a versatile engineer who can navigate between diagnosing playback issues through system logs, troubleshooting payment API problems, and reviewing partner integration architectures. Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer - Partner Engineering
- Work with partners to integrate, test, deploy, and improve Netflix streaming application, content discovery, and billing integration
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables over multiple partner engagements
- Test partner devices including black-box testing
- Collaborate with data analytics team to resolve playback and payment services issues
- Represent partner needs to product and engineering teams at headquarters
- Implement process improvements and tooling changes
- Build and maintain engineering relationships with Netflix partners
- Travel to Los Gatos, CA headquarters and APAC partners when required
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer - Partner Engineering
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 7 years of experience in C/C++, Java, Rust, or Go
- Experience with streaming devices or embedded devices and small systems
- Experience with streaming device operating systems (Linux, Android) and middleware
- Experience working with external partners or multiple internal stakeholders
- Experience with backend API (Rest/GraphQL) and B2B API technologies
- Demonstrated history of delivering full development lifecycle
- Ability to travel to Los Gatos, California and APAC partners
- English proficiency required, additional language proficiency valued (Japanese or Korean)
