Software Engineer - Pipeline

Netflix Animation Studios is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Pipeline team in Vancouver. This role combines creative freedom with engineering rigor in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position focuses on developing foundational APIs and applications that power artist workflows within the animation production pipeline.

The R&D Pipeline team serves as the backbone of the Production pipeline, providing robust APIs and applications that solve real user problems. Working closely with Technical Directors and creative professionals, you'll help shape the future of Netflix Animation Studios' state-of-the-art Pipeline. The tech stack primarily involves Python, with additional work in modern C++, Rust, Qt, and web technologies.

As an ideal candidate, you'll bring 8+ years of experience in Animation or VFX Pipelines, strong Python proficiency, and expertise in PyQt/PySide. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing pipeline systems that support all stages of animation production, with a particular focus on foundational APIs powering artist workflows within tools like Maya, Houdini, and Nuke.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from 120,000 to 185,000 CAD, comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, mental health support, and various paid leave programs.
